what does an herbalist do?
Maka Pejuta means Earth Medicine in the Lakota language, which reflects the foundation of my work with clients. Plants are medicines, food is medicine. When we slow down and come back to this remembrance, we can reconnect with and heal our bodies. The body has an innate intelligence and the ability to heal itself when we remove what is in it’s way.
An herbalist is not always a substitute for receiving medical care. We can, however, help to address the underlying cause of an illness or imbalance in the body by supporting Vitality. I have seen how nourishment through lifestyle and dietary changes, while using herbs and supplements as supportive allies, can transform people’s lives.
I cannot guarantee anything, and sometimes the work is tough, but I will support you every step of the way.
It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.
